Education could possibly be the number one most effective way

to reduce the haze in malaysia. Teachings can spread from one person to another

very quickly. Our kids will tell their friends what they learn. Then, their friends will spread to their

family, then the teachings will spread on to their other friends and so on. Same thing would happen

if we spread the news to our neighbors. Eventually, our whole community would be educated and

take actions to reduce the haze.

Programs started by the government with environmental needs in mind.
Government can create programs to reduce air pollution or smog.
Examples of such programs:

1) Plant a tree program. (community service)
2) Ride a bike to work day. (Eligible government excuse to be late for work)
3) Carpool program.
4) Air Pollution/ Haze education program.

Our government and our neighboring country should create a union and work together to pass laws that prevent other neighboring countries from spreading their smog and other air pollution. These would solve previous problem like the big forest fire in Indonesia in 2005.

Forest fire is single-handedly the greatest contribution to Malaysia's haze. Our government can past laws to not allow certain combustible chemicals or substances to reach a certain distance from our forests. These laws and regulations can be focused towards camp sites, forest trails, and companies building near forests.

These laws and regulations will significantly reduce the threat of an accidental forest fire.

To combat against purposely burned forest fires to build real estates, ...

The government can help reduce air pollution through laws and regulations. They can set up laws allowing only selected cars with

low emissions levels to be on the streets.

The same regulations can be set for commercial trucks. Commerical trucks produce alot of emissions. Therefore, if we regulated their emission

level, our air would be much cleaner and significantly reduce haze in Malaysia.

Since Malaysia is surrounded by water, it should also be necessary that boats and ships ...

Transportation

1) Use a bike

Riding a bike produces zero emissions.

2) Carpool

By carpooling, we can drastically reduce the amount of emissions we produce overall from our motor vehicles.

3) Take a bus

Same concept as carpooling, by traveling together, we can greatly reduce our car emissions.

4) Take a walk

If you live close enough to school, why not walk to school?

There are many other creative ways to modify our transportation means in order to reduce the smog in our air.
